ICEPAD 2026 is a three-day international conference that brings together economists, data scientists, policymakers and development researchers to examine the rapidly evolving intersections of public economics and finance, artificial intelligence and development policy. The conference will feature invited keynote lectures, paper presentations and a dedicated poster track for early-career researchers and students.
The conference is jointly organized by three leading institutions: the Centre for Training and Research in Public Finance and Policy (CTRPFP), Kolkata, a nationally recognized center for research in taxation, public finance and fiscal policy; the Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani Goa Campus, and the Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (APPCAIR), BITS Pilani. This unique institutional partnership bridges the disciplines of economics, public policy and cutting-edge AI research.
Engage with researchers and practitioners across economics, AI, and public policy — a rare convergence of disciplines shaping the future of governance and development.
Selected, peer-reviewed papers will be considered for a special issue in the South Asian Journal of Macroeconomics and Public Finance (Sage; ABDC-ranked, Scopus-indexed).
